How do I register for an event?

If you don't wish to register online (and request an invoice or pay by credit card), booking forms are available to download on our website. Select the link for the relevant event and download the PDF booking form. You can then complete the form and return it by fax or post.

How do I register on line?

Click the book now button and you will be taken to our online booking system where you can register for the event and request an invoice or pay by credit card.

How do I know how much CPD I can claim for an event?

The amount of verifiable CPD hours is listed on the upper right portion of the screen on the home page. This number is the maximum number of hours that can be claimed. The amount of hours recorded for technical and professional CPD is left to the discretion of the individual.

I want to cancel. Can I get a refund?

Cancellations of a confirmed place must be notified in writing (by email or post) and will be subject to an administration charge. Any cancellations advised after the deadline (listed on the booking form) will not be refunded but a colleague can attend in your place.

Yes if you cancel a booking someone else can attend in your place. We will need written confirmation of this from the original delegate.

I want to book online but can’t find the event I want, what do I do?

Online booking is disabled two weeks before the event or one month before for residential conferences. If you want to pay by credit card after this date then write your telephone number on the booking form and highlight that you want to pay by credit card and a member of the team will contact you.
 

How can I print my receipt?

As soon as you book online you will receive confirmation of your booking along with the status of your payment/outstanding amount. As soon as full payment has been received you will receive an email receipt of your payment.

Where can I download joining instructions?

Joining instructions will be emailed to you two weeks before one-day and shorter events or one month before residential conferences. If you do not receive these, then please contact the event team at eventmanagement@actuaries.org.uk or ring +44 (0)207 632 1498.
 

Where can I get the advance papers?

Details of how to access advanced papers are included in the joining instructions, which will be sent one-week before shorter events or one month before residential conferences. Presentation slides where provided by the speakers, will be made available. Presentations, where authorised by presenters, will be put onto the public section of the website for all to access one month after the event.

I cannot find the paper on the website?

If the presentation you are looking for is not listed on the website then we have not yet received it from the speaker. Presentations get uploaded as soon as they are received so please keep checking the website.

 

Will copies of advance papers be available at the event?

No paper copies of the advanced papers will be available onsite. Presentation slides when provided by the speakers in advance of the event are posted in a password protected area of the website. Details of how to access these are included in the joining instructions.

How do I know what my user name and password are?

The username is your ARN and password is your date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy - including the / separators). Five failed attempts at logging in will result in your password being locked.

What is an ARN?

It is your Actuarial Reference Number. If you are a member of the organisation you should have one. If you have forgotten or misplaced your number please contact membership@actuaries.org.uk
